摘要

The microstructure of hot-pressed ceramic TiB{sub}2-xCaB{sub}6 specimen has been studied and the analysis of its grain structure has been conducted. The influence of the quantity of CaB{sub}6 additive on the grain size has been determined. It was shown, the TiB{sub}2 grain size is reduced, when CaB{sub}6 content in composite is more than 5 %. The decrease of the grain growth under hot pressing of powder with composition can be explained by Ca solution in it. The composite of such a compound has a high microhardness and bend-strengthening.
