摘要

A planar integrated magnetic component (PIM) witha transformer and an inductor is effective for switching the rsupply. We analyzed the iron loss of the PIM by using the finiteelement method to calculate the magnetic distribution takingaccount of the magnetic interaction between the transformer andthe inductor. As a result, we obtained a more exact value for theiron loss of the PIM, which was lower than that of similar, simplycombined components.
