摘要

The effect of 0.2 mM EDTA and 0.25 mM Ca2+ in the surrounding media on kinetic changes in metabolic heat and respiration rate was studied in excised roots of spring wheat cv. Moskovskaya-35. During acclimatization, the rate of heat production decreased on addition of EDTA to the medium during incubation of the excised wheat roots. The respiration rate of excised roots was more stable in EDTA-containing medium than the respiration rate of wheat roots grown in CaCl2-containing medium.
