Estimation of resource potential in cultivation of fruit crops in Krasnodar region.

摘要

The Krasnodar region of Russia has 4 natural zones which are characterized in terms of heat and moisture balance, primary soil types, and average annual or monthly climate parameters. Such characterization is not considered detailed enough, as information on average parameters available is not sufficient for forecasting productivity of a given crop. More detailed characterization is necessary in order to be able to estimate risks of growing each crop. Data on soil types, their physical properties, chemical composition and limiting factors; optimum average daily temperatures for different fruit crops in different phases of development; critical minimum temperatures for different phases of development of fruit crops; probability of occurrence of unfavourable climatic conditions; integral rating of suitability of soils for various fruit crops (apple, pear, plum, quince, apricot, cherry, peach) are tabulated. The data accumulated should improve zoning of crops, the development of cultivars suited to local conditions and the selection of cultivation techniques used for setting up new orchards.
