TREMATODA NEMATOSTRIGEA SERPENS (NITZSCH 1819) SANDGROUND 1934, A NEW SPECIES IN THE PARASITE FAUNA OF BIRDS IN KARELIA

摘要

The data on trematoda Nematostrigea serpens in the Republic of Karelia are presented. This parasite was found in the intestine of ospey (Pandion haliaetus) for the first time. A brief morphological characterization, description, and drawings of the parasite and its differential diagnosis with closely related forms are given. A nucleotide sequence of the D1-D3 region of LSU (28S) rRNA was obtained and deposited to the GenBank (KF434762).
