Time domain synthesis of nonuniform transmission line applying the finite difference time domain method

摘要

A direct synthesis method of nonuniform transmission line at the time domain applying the FDTD method is described. This method synthesizes the nonuniform transmission line directly from the voltage waveform of the step response at the input port. It is thought that this method belongs to the layer-peeling algorithm. The advantage of this method is to synthesize a nonuniform transmission line without approximating multiple connection of uniform transmission line. Some synthesis examples are presented to show the validity and usefulness of the method.
