Model of the Effect of Surface Plastic Deformation on Fatigue Life

摘要

We developed a model and a calculation method for determining the fatigue life which includes the periods of scattered damageability and crack propagation through the hardened layer. The model makes it possible to determine the fatigue fracture site and kinetics of scattered damageability and crack growth depending on the surface layer state. The calculation example is considered.
