摘要

An approximated method for calculating the uniplanar bending stability of beams under the complex combination of longitudinal and transverse forces is proposed. The formulas which are convenient for practical use have been derived for determiningthe total values o. Longitudinal and transverse critical forces, as well as the stability margin for flange and square beams.The examples of calculation are presented, the comparison is given between the total values of critical forces obtained by the method proposed and from the known results.As seen from the calculation examples, the difference between accurate and approximated magnitudes of critical forces does not exceed 2 to 7%.The examples and experimental results obtained enable one to use the formulas derived for practical calculations of uniplanar bending stability of beams under combined action of longitudinal and transverse forces.
