The Government has been researchin gthe impact badger culling has on bovine TB for nearly a decade, and now it says it has enough evidence to justify a mass cull over large parts of western England. THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT is on the verge of sanctioning a mass slaughter of badgers in the South-west and other parts of the West of England, with snaring one of three culling techniques under consideration. Animal welfare experts are horrified that a method of killing wildlife regarded as intolerably cruel could be used against one of Britain's favourite mammals.
