LATEST generation shade cloth and cable materials with special properties have provided a breakthrough in flexibility of shade designs for use in feedlot applications. Hail and shade protection supply company Netpro provided an update of the opportunities to apply these new materials in feedlot applications during an address at Beefworks in Toowoomba late last year. Netpro pioneered the application of orchard-derived shade cloth construction in the feedlot industry in a project at Maydan feedlot near Warwick six years ago. The trail-blazing project was featured extensively in an article in the May 2005 issue of ALFA Lotfeeding.
