THE utilisation of non-traditional feedstuffs is aimed at reducing ration cost and ultimately the cost of gain. How we place a value on these products has in our situation been in the domain of our nutritional consultants. However, as with many new products, feedback on the performance of that product is crucial - not only as a measure of its effectiveness and its ability to deliver nutrient, but also its overall performance in the entire feed delivery system.
