摘要

The method of metals' strengthening by the plane shock wave based on the laser initiation of explosives is proposed. An explosive composition manifesting a high sensitivity to the laser impulse is deposited as a film on the material surface. Then a whole surface of film is radiated by the laser beam with energy density, which is more than the threshold of initiation. The method is used for the explosive hardening treatment of the steels St. 45 and X18P10T.
