Gaschromatographic Determination of the Trace Amounts of Iron Pentacarbonyl in Nickel Tetracarbonyl

摘要

A method of Gaschromatographic determination of trace amount (1 X 10~(-5) wt. percent) of iron pentacarbonyl in nickel tetracarbonyl is presented. The procedure of sample preparation which eliminates the interfering effect of the main component provides the use of highly sensitive detector of electron capture. The sensitivity of the method proposed is by the order of magnitude higher compared to chemical analysis, whereas the duration of analysis is 15 - 20-fold shorter.
