An immunofluorescent study of a pseudopuff in the centromeric heterochromatin region of Chironomus thummi polytene chromosomes.

摘要

A method of immunofluorescent detection of DNA-RNA hybrids was used to study a pseudopuff occurring in a centromeric heterochromatin region of Chironomus thummi [C. riparius] polytene chromosomes after treatment with actinomycin D [dactinomycin]. The results suggested absence of intense selective RNA accumulation in the pseudopuff.
