摘要

In their review on neurodevelopmental outcomes following prenatal exposure to selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), Hanley and Oberlander (2012) emphasize a developmental perspective, which should lead to an understanding of what heightens or lessens neurodevelopmental vulnerability of children. While the pharmacology of SSRIs, genetic factors, and prenatal and postnatal maternal mental illness clearly affect outcomes, it is possible that mafiy other factors may influence fetal and childhood development. One possible factor might be the presence of signs of neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS) at birth
