摘要

The ecophysilogical characteristics of Eisenia bicyclis and Ecklonia cava were compared with special reference to light and temperature conditions. The daily compensation light quantity, i.e. the lower limit of survival light quantity, was higher in Eisenia bicyclis than in Ecklonia cava. The net pro-duction of Ecklonia cava community was estimated from a mathematical model. The calculated results showed the net production was strongly affected by light intensity and temperature. Fragments of Ecklonia cava bladelets were cultured under controlled laboratory conditions of light intensity, temperature, and photoperiod. The fragments did not form sori under the low light intensity or low temperature conditions.
