Improvement of transient response of DC-DC converters for rapid load variation - application of differential current transformer

摘要

To improve the transient response of DC-DC converters for rapid load change, the several compensation methods, in which another current path from an external voltage source to the load is introduced, have been proposed. This paper presents a new approach by employing the differential current-transformer to detect the difference between the load current and the inductor one and adding its difference as the load current feedforward signal to the voltage feedback PWM controller. Its performances are evaluated through the experimental results.
