摘要

MDI in prototyping area has acted according to three aims of ①Reducing lead time for prototyping ②improvement of prototype vehicle quality ③Reduction of manufacture cost of prototype vehicle. The manufacturing process of prototype vehicle is being drastically innovated as a means to achieve these aims with CAD/CAM/CAS/most new and powerful machine-tool and measurement equipment now. We describe the main result of the activity until present as follows. * In stamping process, the processing trial work has been innovated by using the processing simulation, and the trial time has been reduced by 70%. * By about 80% at the cutting time of prototype stamping die and about 70% at the part machining were reduced in each with high-speed machining and applying the CAD/CAM technology, reducing of manufacture lead-time and cost have been achieved. * By applying the three-dimensional measurement equipment system and improving analytical technology, the accuracy of prototype vehicle has been improved by 40%. We introduce details of these results in this paper.
