摘要

beta -Carotene content in forage rice was measured in four growth phases. The change in beta -carotene content during preservation as silage was also investigated in plants harvested at the ripening phase. beta -Carotene content decreased from 130.4 mg/kg dry matter in the active-vegetative phase to 40.5 mg/kg dry matter in the ripening phase.
