The botanical-geographical features of the flora of the northern margin of Chukchi mountains.

A botanical-geographical analysis of the regional flora of the northern edge of the Chukchi Mountains, Russia was carried out. Within the area mentioned, the two local floras were compared with several local floras from neighbouring areas. As a result of the analysis, the regional flora was shown to belong to the Central Chukotsky district of the Chukotka floristic province. Within the district, it is suggested that it should be regarded as a separate Northern region. In comparison with the other regional floras, it differed in having a lower proportion of hypoarctic, boreal, and continental species, together with a higher proportion of arctic species.
