With the spread of mobile devices and cloud computing, the ICT era has become a time of great change in everyday life.Also, recently, Big Data, IoT, and AI have made great progress, and the amount of digital information handled daily has continued to increase.By 2025, it is predicted to surge to 175 zetta bytes.Therefore, along with that, one important social issue to solve is how to radically reduce the power consumption of information equipment.Thus, in our ImPACT program, developments are being made on ultimate low-power non-volatile memory that records information on magnetic memory through voltage and ultra-power-saving spintronics logic integration using innovative spintronics technology and logic-in-memory design.In particular, we set “two major R&D goals to construct basic technologies that solve social problems on the edge side where power consumption problems are serious.Going forward, with the creation of these overwhelming differentiation technologies, we will aim to realize a maintenance-free IoT sensor network and a mobile device that can be used for a long time without charging.
