摘要

The paper by Ioannis Bouras, Lin Ma, Derek Ingham & Mohamed Pourkashanian proposed a modified k-epsilon turbulence model for the simulations of wind turbine wakes by adding a source term, S-epsilon, in the equation for the eddy dissipation equation in the k-omega model, which was originated from the work of the standard k-epsilon model. This paper illustrate that the source term for epsilon equation could not be used for the omega equation directly based on theoretical derivation. The relation of additional source term for the turbulence frequency omega equation, S-omega in the k-omega model with the source term S-epsilon in the k-epsilon model was proposed through theoretical analogy.
