There not a great deal to report for this edition on the conservation front. In many ways that is a good thing because it implies an absence of threat to tile installations. I have been corresponding at length with a gentleman who is very interested in researching the NER Railway maps. He is particularly looking for information regarding versions which are post June 1900 (when the first tile map was installed at York, now in the National Railway Museum). These are full sized and he thinks were produced for private individuals in about 1906 -1907. These individuals were most likely Directors or Senior Officers or major shareholders of the NER Company. There are two such maps in existence and my correspondent is trying to find out whether others exist in 'country houses' up and down the country which once belonged to these Directors or Senior Officers or major shareholders.
