Simple Spectrophotometric Methods for Estimation of Amantadine

摘要

Two simple and sensitive visible spectrophotometric methods have been developed for determination of amantadine hydrochloride (ADM) in bulk and pharmaceutical quinone-4-chlorimide (DCQC) (method A) or condensation product with aromatic aldehyde namely,4-dimethyl amino cinnamaldehyde (PDAC) (method B).The characteristics of the coloured products have been studied and found to obey Beer's law.The reagents can also be used in determination of its pharmaceutical formulations.
