Background: There is no current consensus on subscapularis mobilization during total shoulder arthroplasty. The propose of this prospective, randomized controlled trial was to compare functional and radiographic outcomes of the more traditional subscapularis tenotomy (ST) versus lesser tuberosity osteotomy (LTO).
