摘要

The reaction of OH radical with benzene sulfonic acid, p-toluene sulfonic acid, sodium dodecyl sulfate and sodium octyl sulfate has been investigated by entrapping the product radicals as polymer end groups which have been detected and estimated by the sensitive dye-partition technique. The respective rate constants have been determined as 6.50 x 109, 1.72 x 101°, 1.51 x 101° and 5.70 x 1 (f , all in L mOrl S-I at 2S'C and at pH 1.00. When present above its critical micelle concentration, sodium dodecyl sulfate inhibits the aqueous polymerization of methyl methacrylate. The relative values of the rate constants obtained by us are comparable with the literature values showing the IJ."AftJlnASS of our simole method.
