摘要

Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) examinations of the free radicals in the polymerizations of methacrylates and acrylates have been made using atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) technique. The aim of the experiments for methacrylates was to attempt to discriminate between long an short chain length of propagating radicals by analysis of EPR spectra and for acrylates was to attempt to clarify several points of disagreement concerning the identity and assignment of polymer free radicals.
