摘要

The biggest ever drilling spree of the region is heading towards its conclusion but results so far have been relatively unrewarding. Five wells by Genel, Galp, Cairn and Kosmos have only uncovered oil and gas shows and increased the size of an existing heavy oil discovery but Kosmos and Freeport McMoRan are shortly to start further drilling.
