Lukoil is drilling ahead with a well to try and firm up a cluster project in deepwater Ghana, while unconfirmed rumours suggest it is the company finalising a deal to buy into Hess' own FPSO project in the country where a final appraisal programme has started. The rumours suggest that Lukoil is the company that is finalising a deal to buy into Hess' Deepwater Tano Cape Three Points block which hosts a total of seven discoveries.
