BG hesitates over Tanzania gas

While some operators are trying to fast-track LNG projects in East Africa, BG became the first to publicly take a more leisurely approach as it decided not to take up extra options for the drillship currently working off Tanzania. The partnership with Ophir is currently using Odfjell's Deepsea Metro I. The original contract finished in late December and BG has used the first of three six month options but will not use the other two.
