CGG grabs Gabon giant

CGG is launching a giant new 3D pre-salt seismic shoot off Gabon after reaching an agreement with the government. An exclusive multi-client deal was agreed with the Ministere du Petrole et des Hydrocarbures which means CGG will acquire 35,000sq km of Broad-Seis 3D data over the latest available and awarded deepwater blocks and 9,900km of 2D data over the country's ultra-deepwater offshore area.
