Next Nigerian Aje oil stage approval next year

The final investment decision for the second oil stage of the Aje project off Nigeria is likely to be taken next year, according to one of the partners. The first oil phase of the Yinka Folawiyo operated field in OML 113 started earlier this year and, as detailed in the last issue of AOG, partner Panoro expects plans for the development of gas reserves on the field to be submitted in the first half of next year. It had previously been thought that a new oil phase would come second with gas to follow after.
