摘要

The purpose of the present study is to discuss unsteady, laminar, hydromagnetic, convection flow of a viscous incompressible, electrically conducting fluid past a porous vertical plate embedded within highly porous medium when the plate is subjected to a periodic suction velocity, permeability and heat sink. The flow field is considered in the presence of a uniform magnetic field applied normal to the flow. Approximate solutions for velocity and temperature field are obtained using multi-parameter perturbation technique. Expressions for skin-friction and rate of heat transfer are also derived. The results obtained are discussed for various numerical values of the parameters, entered into the equations governing the flow, with help of graphs and tables.
