摘要

In this work, a generalized magneto-thermoelastic problem of a semi-infinite micropolar homogeneous isotropic porous body placed in a transverse magnetic field is investigated by applying different theories of generalized thermoelasticity. The upper surface of the semi-infinite body is subjected to a zonal time-dependent heat shock. The problem is solved by using finite element method. The solution is obtained by solving the finite element governing equations of the problem. The results, including temperature, stresses, displacements, microratation, the change in volume fraction field, induced magnetic field and induced electric field are depicted graphically. Comparisons are made in the results obtained under different theories of generalized thermoelasticity, and it is found that micropolar effect has a slight influence on the results while voids effect has a great influence on the results.
