The deepwater Cameia project off Angola has once again been thrown into disarray with Cobalt International saying it will have no more meetings with bidders until the new operator takes over at the end of March. In a very unusual situation, Cobalt has been carrying on through the bidding process as operator despite agreeing to sell its Angolan interests to national oil company Sonangol for US $1.75 Bn last year.
