Erin Energy is still hoping to drill two wells offshore Nigeria later this year but must first conclude negotiations to raise the cash. The company is also looking at shooting new 3D seismic off Ghana early next year - although this is dependent on the government easing fiscal terms. The US independent is operator of OMLs 120 and 121 off Nigeria, including the producing Oyo field where it completed the replacement of the failed subsurface safety valve on a production well earlier this month.
