JSW USA TO START HOT TRIALS AT ACERO JUNCTION

On December 13, JSW USA expects to conduct test run of steel meltshop at ACERO Junction in Ohio, following about 9 years of shutdown. The producer may complete equipment re-commissioning by end-2018, Metal Expert learnt from local sources. ACERO Junction employs a 2.2 million tpy EAF, a LF, a 2-strand slab CCM (2.8 million tpy) and a 3 million tpy hot strip mill 80”. The investment in the revamp and re-commission of steel meltshop, as well as in modernization of rolling mill is estimated at USD 250 million.
