ESFAHAN STEEL COMPANY MASTERS PRODUCTION OF VACUUM-DEGASED STEEL BILLETS TO FEED RAIL PRODUCTION

Iran’s Esfahan Steel Company (ESCO) has officially commissioned a vacuum degasser in its 3.6 million tpy steel meltshop, according to the company’s statement. “Due to the specific steel requirements for rail production we decided to install the vacuum degas- ser,” the company’s representative commented. “Recently, we have completed installing and adjusting the equipment. Upon the successful hot trials completion, we have mastered production of billets with specifications, required for rail production, including U33-S49-UIC54 and UIC60 rails.”
