HUNGARIAN GOVERNMENT ACQUIRED 20% STAKE IN OAM OZD STEELWORKS

The Hungarian government has acquired from Germany’s Max Aicher a 20% stake in OAM Ozd Steelworks for over EUR 30 million, according to local sources. The move is backed up by an intention to save and create new jobs in the region. Along with that the majority stakeholder plans to invest EUR 60 million in the plant technology development and purchases of equipment to ensure that plant performs better at higher quality with more complex products.
