Study: HIE Improves Emergency Department Quality, Efficiency

摘要

A study examining the impact of health information exchange (HIE) use in emergency departments found HIEs greatly improved healthcare quality and operational efficiency. The study, conducted by a team of researchers from several colleges, included four emergency departments using HealthlinkNY-one of several HIEs connected through the Statewide Health Information Network of New York.
