Development of Utilization Technology of Freshwater Fisheries Resources

摘要

It is no exaggeration to say that a new source of animal protein appeared at the end of the 20th century, namely freshwater fisheries resources, produced mainly by aquaculture techniques in inland water regions of China: the catch has increased more than fifteen fold in the last 50 years, reaching more than 16.0 million tons in 2002. Developing countries that have similar inland regions are thus greatly encouraged by China's success.
