Pacific Snapshot - Large Stock Cushion Heading Into Summer

Jet fuel stocks across the Pacific Basin climbed to nearly 28 million barrels at the end of June - some 12% above the year-earlier mark. Australia accounted for most of that surplus after a spate of imported cargoes lifted domestic tank levels to 4.9 million bbl. High refinery throughput in South Korea, Japan and on the US West Coast also caused stocks to build. Holdings of burning kerosene in North Asia reached 15.8 million bbl and were 3.5% ahead of year-earlier levels.
