Covid-19 may have grounded more than half of Europe’s flights this year but the destruction in airline fuel demand has done little to diminish the pace of jet trade in Platts’ benchmark price-setting European market on close (MOC) window. A record 3.81 million metric tons, plus or minus the standard 10% tolerance, has traded in the MOC so far this year to the end of October, according to Energy Intelligence records.
