European jet fuel stocks fell to 9.2 million tons in October but were still 6% ahead of the year-earlier mark. Tank levels were higher in most European countries except for Spain. Regional refiners boosted throughput to 49.6 million tons and churned out 3.8 million tons of jet fuel. Another 3.3 million tons flowed into regional ports from the Middle East, Asia and else- where. Mid-distillate yields comprised 54% of total output in the run-up to new rules on low-sulfur marine fuels that took effect on Jan. 1, 2020.
