North American jet fuel demand stayed strong in February, despite the snowstorms that caused massive flight cancellations in a large swath of the US. Consumption in that market climbed another 4.9% to 1.59 million b/d but was down slightly from the 6% growth rate seen in the fourth quarter of 2017. Canadian usage rose by 8.6% in February, which was also slower than the 12% gain posted late last year. Mexican demand slowed to a standstill from the 5% rise seen in the fourth quarter.
