Strong leadership is needed by governments to ensureconsumers are afforded an energy mix, which wouldincrease the competitiveness of manufacturing, lowerhousehold prices and drive down emissions. Reducingthe cost of power and improving reliability stimulates aneconomy, which is why the Queensland Resources Council(QRC) supports investment in high efficiency, low emission(HELE) coal-fired power plants.
