In this study, NiCo@PAA composite films with bright structural colors were successfully prepared via AC electrodeposition and their optical and magnetic properties were investigated. It was found that the results of the reflectance spectrum test are consistent with those observed in our experiment, the aspect ratio of NiCo alloy nanowires is very small shown by the scanning electron microscopy results, as the results of the magnet test indicate, the NiCo alloy nanowires have an easy magnetization direction which is parallel with the direction of the nanowires, the coercive force increases slowly with the increase of Co content and the coercive force also increases at low temperatures, and the magnetization reversal mechanism of the NiCo alloy nanowires conforms to the coherent rotation model.
