Pyridine analogue of fluorescent protein chromophore: Fluorogenic dye suitable for mitochondria staining

摘要

In this paper, we present a novel fluorogenic analogue of the GFP chromophore with atypical solvent-dependent variations of the fluorescence quantum yield. This compound can be used as the selective dye for fluorescent staining of whole mitochondria in live cells regardless of their metabolic status.
