In the course of the graded examination and treatment of emergency patients in emergency medicine, at the place and during transport, the collected findings and the measures taken must be adequately recorded and passed on to the next link in the "chain of survival". If essential information is lost or human factors, pressure of time and unfavourable circumstances lead to misunderstandings in the focused transmission of essential details, the further course is disturbed and the patient & apos;s safety is threatened. Universal tools for comprehensive and structured patient handover therefore must be compact, logical and easy to remember. They must be suitable to all patient groups and emergency constellations. They should present the information compatible with established concepts such as ABCDE, systematically and well noticeable. Ideally, they fit well into electronic or written documentation media. Structured delivery concepts like iSoBAR provide the skeleton for a robust and complete transfer report in a short time.
