All politics aside, we need an infrastructure bill, because the physical plant of this country is falling apart, and individual states cannot do the rebuilding job alone. Our roads and bridges are in horrible shape compared to 20 or 30 years ago; our airports are old and getting older and our out of date air traffic control system is working with antiquated equipment dating back to the 1960s. Yes, we are behind, and we are getting more so as time moves along.
